Spring break 2011...half-way over

While we haven't had much "spring break" weather (as there are snowflakes falling as I blog this), we've still managed to enjoy the first half of our vacation.

We started off on Friday, March 25th celebrating the birth of now 8-year-old Olivia by having an all-girls sleepover, complete with pizza and a movie (Despicable Me).

I totally can't believe she's 8! My baby girl....

Nora and I have enjoyed cozying up with our coffee and hot chocolate!
And this little one has made coloring on herself with dry erase markers a daily occurrence.
So mommy has to take her hostage.
Daddy rebuilt the ladder on the play set outside, put the slide back up, and bought 3 new swings that the girls have really enjoyed.
One evening we took Shelby on a walk at Avon Town Hall park and let the girls play on the playground there.

And afterwards, we came home and enjoyed some ice cream cones.

And yesterday's big event....Nora got her ears pierced at Claires in Greenwood Mall.
She got a little scared when she heard the earring gun go off.
And thought for a minute about whether or not it hurt...
but then the lady handed her the mirror and her expression quickly changed!
A pretty-little-Diva!

Bowling in the afternoon...

Again, we are ready for spring. After a week of everybody being sick (Liv, Nora, Tessa, & Terry), we were ready to get out of the house and do something fun! So, we let each of the girls choose a friend from school to take bowling.

Nora took her buddy, Boston.
And Olivia took her friend, Brooke.
Baby sister tagged along too. All of the kids took turns letting Tess push their ball down the lane with them so she felt like she was playing too.
All of the bowlers had a really great time!
And everyone enjoyed a big basket of french fries, a pitcher of Sprite, and some fruit snacks.
