Indoor Home Improvements this Summer

If cousin Bri is reading this, I loved the idea you had on your blog, so I used it in our downstairs craft room. I nailed some ribbon to the wall and used clothes pins to display Livi & Nora's paintings.
We hung a hodge-podge of framed pictures of the kids and them with their friends in our upstairs loft (toy room)
I found wooden names (already made) of all 5 of our names (how lucky was that!) at Brown County a while ago and now they finally have a home on the wall next to the loft window.
We hung beach scene pictures from our trip to Florida on the wall upstairs between our bedroom and the bathroom.
In Olivia's bedroom, we hung baseball pieces on the wall above her bookcase.
I organized all of the girls' baby keepsakes (ultrasound pictures, first bandaids, hospital bracelets and other keepsakes) in a single 3-drawer unit and labeled each drawer with their name, birthdate, birth weight, and time of birth.
We organized our loft room toys into 2 storage units and I labeled each cube with words and pictures so that the girls could put everything in its place after playing.
It looks SO much cleaner up there!
And finally, I made bedroom labels for each of girls' rooms out of cardboard squares and scrapbooking paper.

And here are some cute close ups of the girls today!

I love summer!

IMA day

Terry woke up this morning and said he wanted to do something fun together, so I came up with the idea of going to the Indiana Museum of Art (IMA) and walk around, see the sites, and take some pictures.
The girls liked the art all-right, but didn't like that they couldn't touch or feel any of it. The painting that Livi is standing by is by Van Gough.

The girls stood on a glass floor held up by thousands of tiny toy soldiers.

They always say they have "MAD LOVE" for each other!
Pretty ladies standing in the pretty colorsQ
Oh, a room for Nora. The Fashion Art exhibit!

Cute little gowns for cute little girls
The view from the window was awesome!

We decided to take a walk outside, which was beautiful, and get some shots out there!

A VERY fun family day, resulting in some pretty good pictures too. :)

Go Reds!

Tuesday, Terry and Olivia took off with Granny, Poppie, Luc, Uncle Danny, Uncle Ricky, and cousin Tyler and his girlfriend to Cincinnati, OH to see a Reds game. The had dinner at Montgomery Inn before the game...

At the game, Olivia enjoyed treats...
time with Dad...

and here she is sporting her new bat, shirt, and hat!
And then there were more treats!
A night to remember with dad! :)
Thank you, Terry, for being the dad you are!
Meanwhile, Tessa and I took Nora to Chuck-E-Cheese to play and to McDonalds for lunch. Then we went back out in the evening for some dinner and shopping! Definitely a lot of "dating" going on this day. :)
