Another wintery weekend...

This cold, snowy weather is just not my cup of tea! We've been doing our best to push through these long winter days. Tess, here, is really enjoying her lunch!
Last night Liv & Nora got to do some swimming at the Plainfield Aquatic Center in honor of our friend Cameron's 7th birthday!

Here's Nora, swimming next to the birthday boy himself!

I'm not even sure how many times Olivia went down the water slide.
And this morning we went to church, but by 3:30 I was going stir-crazy in the house. So, just to get out for a little while, I had the kids pick a favorite movie to play in the van, I popped and bagged up popcorn, and made cups of KoolAid fizzy drinks, and we drove around Avon & Plainfield to some of the work sites that Terry and his parent's have going. Then we ended up at Bellacino's in Plainfield where the kids enjoyed some pepperoni pizza, and daddy & mommy shared a lovely 18-inch Italian sandwich (Yum!) while I contributed some more Diet Coke to my addiction. :)

It was nice to get out! Poor Tessa stood at our back door today repeatedly saying the words "play" and "outside". :( The Smith's are ready for some spring weather.

First week of the New Year...getting back to our regular schedule

This was our first week back to work and school after a long 2 weeks of winter break (which we LOVED!). We were sad to say goodbye to Grandma, who stayed in Indy at my mom and dad's visiting with us for 3 weeks. The girls really enjoyed her.

Yes, I know Tessa is topless...as I told Grandma, with a 19-month-old, it's hard to get a photo with everyone dressed, clean, and smiling. At least we got clean and smiling! :)
Granny & Poppie & Luc visited, and took part in a little "Just Dance 2" on the Wii.
I'm telling ya, that game is family-fun for everybody!
They also bought some new clothes and a whole hair-styling station for the girls' American Girl Dolls (Nora, as you can see, was ENORMOUSLY excited about this!).

As sad as I was to say goodbye to my girlies and go back to work, I missed us having a schedule and a routine. Now begins the countdown to spring break!

Our winter break is coming to an end...

and boy have we had fun playing with all of our Christmas toys! We've played "Just Dance" on our Wii, games like "Headbanz", "Jenga", "Checkers", and Mario Kart on the DS's. We also did some magic experiments...
and made things fizz and bubble!

Here's Olivia playing her W.O.R.D. game, and Nora writing in her diary.
Tess and I are enjoying our Cracker Barrel rocking chairs.
It's been a blast!
Hardly any time to sit and be bored :)

We hibernated at home most of vacation, though we did get up and go
to visit with our good friends from New Jersey while they were in town. Here is Liv & Nora with Luke and Travis, and more of our Schubert friends, Hannah & Cameron.
Kim and Colton
Terry & Luke
And Jason tried his best to pose Tess & Colt for one last pic. It didn't go so well. :)
I feel the same way as Tessa now that our vacation together is coming to its end!
