Since it would be a long time before Grandma would be coming to Indy to see us, Terry, Val, the girls, and I packed up the van and headed out for a visit!
We squeezed in at Grandma's for 2 nights. Love you, Gramma!
The first night we got in, we enjoyed some dinner at North Park Clubhouse where my childhood bff met us for some seriously overdue catching up time! Love you, Robin. The girls had a chance to play some games and run around after many hours of riding in the van.
In the morning, we headed to Pittsburgh to eat at Primanti Bros!
Check out that sandwich...cappacola with french fries, cheese, tomatoes, and cole slaw. Yummo!
We bought some cookies and cannoli's from a street vendor
and pet several dogs being walked on the streets
before heading to Station Square, where we stumbled upon a free kids festival with bounce houses, coloring and crafts, and train rides!
We walked by the water to take some photos of downtown.
Aunt Sandy and Uncle Greg hosted a gathering of cousins at their place so we could get in some play-time and hugging. This is the beautiful Gia
her little sis, Lucy
their daddy, Scott
the newest family member, Dominick, son of cousin Nick and his fiance Sam!
Isn't he cute?!
and we enjoyed some pizza, hot dogs, fruit, snacks, and Aunt Sandy's famous chocolate chip cookies!
Cindy, the proud grandma (or "Nee-na")
and the lovely Gina with her two girlies
For dessert, some ice cream sandwiches
Nora, getting some love from her Aunt Sandy!
Lots of toys for the kids to play with
and the best part- bubbles! Aunt Sandy entertained the kids for well over an hour doing this...maybe someday she'll reveal her secret about where she gets so much energy! Love you, Aunt Sandy!
And Olivia discovered a way to "catch" bubbles (by wetting her hands down)
and taught the rest of them!
A quick, but very fun, visit! Thanks to Grandma and Aunt Sandy and Uncle Greg for making it a special one! And love to Aunt Val for all of her help on the trip with the kids and Shelby! :)
